Plans start at $99/month (billed annually) for Essentials, $279/month for Premium, and custom pricing for Enterprise. All plans include unlimited users, you only pay for active cards. See plans and pricing or compare plans side by side. Why is Budgetly priced per card, not per user? Per-user pricing discourages businesses from issuing cards to contractors, part-time workers, or anyone who doesn’t justify a monthly seat fee. Spending still happens, it just goes through reimbursements, petty cash, or shared cards with no visibility. Budgetly charges per card because issuing a card should be instant and frictionless. You can issue a virtual card in seconds, set a one-time budget, and cancel it when the job is done. Unlimited users are included on every plan. Does pricing include GST? All prices listed are exclusive of GST. If you are an Australian business, GST is added to your invoice. Are there any additional fees? Budgetly is transparent about all costs. Beyond your plan subscription and per-card fee ($10/month per card), the following may apply: Fee Amount Virtual card issuing $5 (one-off) Physical card issuing $10 (one-off) Foreign currency transactions 2.99% of transaction value (Essentials & Premium) Declined transaction (insufficient funds) $1 per decline ATM withdrawal, domestic $3 per withdrawal ATM withdrawal, international $5 per withdrawal ATM balance enquiry $0.50 Fraudulent chargeback $50 (industry standard) Merchant surcharges and ATM operator fees are set by the merchant or ATM provider, not Budgetly. Is there a lock-in contract? No. You can choose monthly or annual billing and cancel at any time. Annual billing saves up to 17%. To close your account, contact your Account Manager or create a support ticket. Once transactions have settled, your balance is transferred back to your nominated business bank account. Can I switch between plans? Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated credit for the remaining period on your previous plan. Downgrades also take effect immediately, but no prorated credit is applied. To switch from annual to monthly billing, the change is scheduled for the end of your current annual term. Cards & Payments What type of card does Budgetly issue? Budgetly issues Visa corporate debit cards, both virtual and physical. Virtual cards are issued instantly. Physical cards arrive within 3 business days. Can one person have multiple cards? Yes. There is no limit to the number of virtual or physical cards a person can hold. This is useful for separating budgets by project, department, or purpose. Can I use Apple Pay or Google Pay? Yes. Budgetly cards can be added to Apple Pay and Google Pay for contactless payments. The per-transaction limit for mobile wallet payments is $500. Are there transaction limits? Daily spend limit is $60,000 with a maximum of 1,000 transactions. Monthly spend limit is $700,000 with a maximum of 15,000 transactions. … Source: [Budgetly FAQ | Pricing, Cards, Security & Getting Started](https://www.budgetly.com.au/frequently-asked-questions/) --- ## Products ### Financial Visibility for Australian Businesses Real-time dashboards show spend by team, category, and supplier. First, a clarification, because the question hides a trap. Working capital is a balance sheet measure: current assets minus current liabilities. What most people actually mean when they ask this is simpler and more useful. How much cash should I keep accessible so a slow month does not become a crisis? That is your cash buffer, and it is the number worth setting deliberately. There is no universal figure. There is no magic number. Here are the signs worth watching, and the number to check for each. 1. You are paying suppliers slower than you used to Creeping payment terms are one of the clearest tells. Done well, this conversation does not erode confidence. It builds it. Here is how to run it. 1. Never let the number be a surprise Panic is not caused by bad data. The number of reports fell. The cost per incident rose. Payment redirection alone cost Australians $166.8 million, and the ATO notes it remains the most reported scam type by small and micro businesses. Meanwhile, the average self-reported cost of cybercrime per small business rose 14% to $56,600. Fewer incidents. Bigger hits. That’s the trend your AP function is now sitting in front of. A big quarterly bill, a slow season, an EOFY run of ATO obligations, Payday Super landing on every pay run. You can usually see the squeeze coming weeks out. The businesses that get through it are not the ones with the most cash. They are the ones who used that warning to act early. NAB’s SME survey has cash flow as the number one concern for 43% of Australian small and medium businesses, so this is the moment most owners share. Your bank balance tells a different story. NAB’s SME survey puts cash flow as the number one concern for 43% of Australian small and medium businesses, and this gap is why. The P&L records revenue the moment you invoice it. Cash flow records it the moment money lands in your account. For any business with annual contracts, quarterly billing, or seasonal demand, the space between those two moments can stretch across months. But it does not manage your expenses. It records them after the fact, once someone manually enters the data, attaches a receipt, and codes the transaction. For businesses with 20 to 200 employees making dozens of purchases every week, that gap between the transaction happening and the data landing in Xero is where hours of manual work lives. This guide explains how to close that gap. For years, unpaid super was the working capital line nobody put on a term sheet. Up to three and a half months could pass between the day it accrued and the day it was due, and plenty of businesses leaned on that gap to smooth a tight month. From 1 July, that float is gone. Payday Super is now law. Super has to reach the fund within seven business days of every pay run. No more parking a quarter’s worth on the balance sheet and settling up before 28 July.
